Situated in Atlanta, Georgia, the Georgia Institute of Technology is a public research university established back on the 13th of October in 1885. Popularly called Georgia Tech, the university started with a handful of 84 students back in October 1888. After that, the university started to gain popularity and by the late 1940s, Georgia Tech became a regionally recognised university of technology.
After its establishment and growth over the decades, the university gradually started to shift its focus on advanced scientific and technological research allowing Georgia Tech to find its place among the national pioneers to manage the intrinsic transition from an industrial economy to an economy based on information and technology.
