Associated with the European University Association, the Association of Commonwealth Universities, and the Aviation Personnel Schools, Universities UK, the London Metropolitan University is a public research university established back in 2002. The University was formed as a merger between the London Guildhall University and The University of North London. 2006 saw the University inaugurate its science centre.
The institute was awarded university status in 1992. With the number of students gradually increasing over the years, the University decided to expand its campus to accommodate more students.

London Metropolitan University features a total of three campuses, with the main campus located on Holloway Road. The media students at the University have also launched their radio show, a magazine named the Verve and have started publishing a law magazine. The Verve magazine covers several topics, including lifestyle, politics, fashion and many more. On the other hand, the radio show is taken care of by the students' organisation, and the show is aimed to express and share the thoughts and opinions of the students. The law magazine has also been a tremendous success with it covering several topics of law, international politics and many more.
