Answer

Problem statement
As evident in this gender equality assignment, since long ago, the society has been considered as a male dominant society. Therefore, from that time only people have taken several initiatives for equalizing the gender ratio in work. Although sometimes these operations have not become very successful to work together but gender equality can bring versatility in thought process to equate any work. A woman definitely got a different kind of mindset as compared to men and if both the mindsetstarts working together then that will be a great initiative by the organization and can be proven very successful for the organization (Benschop et al, 2018). Working together will also create an environment where people will find themselves in a position of self-motivation and can provide growth to the economy of the organization.

This article on gender equality assignment will emphasize more on the women since men have always worked in a men centric environment. This gender equality assignmentwill also talk about several benefits which can happen if both men and women will work and how they can create opportunity in the public sector organizations. The article on gender equality assignment talks about gender equality because someone in the past gave the concept of manpower, but they forget working in a public sector organization needs more mental fitness than physical fitness and women are totally mentally fit to work in these organizations. Most of the women are multitasking and they are somewhere better organizers than men and if both men and women start working together, they can divide the work in that manner where they both can work on their merit. The government has also made some rules and regulations where women are given priority instead of men (Syed, & Ali, 2019). The government has also given women some reservations to work in public sector organization. But do they really need that? If a woman is capable of working in an organization than she can definitely clear the exam and work with other colleagues. Women never needed any priority over they just needed the equality where they can work n a free space environment.

Aim
This article on gender equality assignment aims at gender equality in various public sector organizations and how it is implemented successfully. It also aims at the significance of work done by both men and women when working together. To identify how men can break the stereotype and can get training in a co-educated environment.

Objective
Following are the objectives of this study developed within this gender equality assignment:

  • To determine the gender equality level in Australian public sector
  • To identify the reasons of high and low gender equality in Australia
  • To propose some ways which assist in making situation better towards gender equality in Australian public sector

Research question used in the gender equality assignment

  • When was the first time the things started changing and started favouring the gender equality?
  • What factors do the organizations actually need to implement a proper gender equal workspace environment?
  • How people can get aware of more and more gender equal situations and after analysing the situation how they will react to it?
  • After developing the gender equality, how organizations are sustaining the rules and regulations with respect to effective work?

Scope of the study
The scope of the study presented within this gender equality assignment is to find the mentality of various public sector organizations which started permitting gender equality in a fully-fledged way. It also finds how the rule has been implemented and what benefit the organization is actually getting if both men and women are working together.

Project justification
This project justifies that both men and women can work together on definite terms. The point is only that the society needs to accept the working conditions of gender equality (Durbin, Page &Walby, 2017). Gender equality is not an organizational made thing, the society build it and only the society can remove it. If they will accept that women are totally as equal as men then there will not be any need of following rules for gender equality. Although gender equality never fights for the right of woman because right is a person’s consensus and nobody can detach it from him or her. The ratio of gender equality then comes into the equilibrium, then the whole country will be stabilized and no such issue of gender inequality arise. The society needs to break the stereotypes that men are better performer that women. It is an old saying that ‘You cannot predict anybody’s work before taking it into work’. Gender equality as the term suggestprovide equal opportunity for both male and female (Conley & Page, 2017). This will not create any kind of extra burden to those females who thought what they will do if the society will not accept them without work. A woman should realize that she has been given a special place in society. The mindset and the thought process of women are way stronger than men and letting them work together will be very beneficial for the public sector organizations. The public sector organizations are now realizing that it can be very beneficial for them if they will let the versatility of women into the workand this will lead them to prepare various methodologies they can implement in their work such as women doing the computer job and men doing the field job or women doing the field job and men doing the computer work they can intermix their work.

Project output
Previously this article on gender equality assignment generates all the issues that have been faced by the society in regulating the gender equality among the public sector organizations. This gender equality assignmentalso talks about the merit points of being into an organization which totally regulates gender equality. Since public sector organizations work for the welfare of the society and the well-being of the people, they need highly trained mind which can produce innovate ideas so that the public sector organizations can think of the profits given to the public (Eriksson?Zetterquist&Renemark, 2016). Although the mindset of the woman is one of the strong reasons that they sustain and pertain in the society having use of their brain for some public welfare work is a good deed. So there should not be any kind of gender inequality in such public sector organization. It is a totally vague thing that men are better performer than women but it is surely not a point of conflict. Public sector organizations being gender neutral can provide and create various opportunities for both men and women in equal ratios. This will also lead to drive the workforce into the field of innovation and also the younger generation will always find their motivation to work in a public sector organization as the job has been given in the equal ratio by the organization. So the vacancy will create in that ratio only. This will lead to a proper employment chain for younger boys and girls. Most f the people wanted to work in private sector or seek to expand their business but this will motivate them to join public sector organization as gender equality will create hype in people that organization is not biased and people can perform according will. This will also increase the ability of the employees when they will find a huge competition in line and work effectively and that will be very beneficial for the public sector organization and also the public will get the best of their facilities. Since all the employees are working very effectively and efficiently.

Conceptual Framework
To determine the current level of gender equality in the public sector of Australia The current state of gender equality in Australia is still not very much up to the mark, but it has improved a lot as compared to the past. When we look at the history of Australia the gender inequality against women was so high in Australia that a woman employee was forced to resign from her job when she got married. Even when the women in Australia had the right to vote, until 1921 the women in Australia were not allowed to represent themselves in the parliament. The situations have improved a lot since then but there as still many places where the work is needed to be done. The first amongst them is the equal pay for the women in Australia. There is a huge wage gap between the wages paid to the men and the women in Australia. Not only there is a wage gap but also the women are considered as less valuable there. This issue needs to be taken into consideration comprehensively. The other issue that arises against women is the lack of women leadership in Australia. The job roles are bot defined properly in a way that women often get less chance to lead and show up their leadership skills in the work. (Ardil, 2017) To explore the reasons for low/ high gender equality in Australia

Gender inequality refers to the unequal and biased treatment amongst the people on the basis of their genders. In Australia, there still prevails the gender inequality. The women in provided and are open to fewer opportunities then as to men. The women are provided with fewer work roles as compared to what men are provided with. And the main cause behind all this inequality is the gender. There is a disproportionate between the men and women when it comes to the job roles, economic aspects, societal aspects. Even there is a violence against the women in Australia. Cases of physical violence on women have been reported in there. The reason that the inequality against the women happens is that the women are not able to get hikes and promotions just like a man gets. There is a pay gap amongst the men and women. Women are paid very less as compared to what men are paid. A woman is considered as less valuable as compared to the men. The job roles are defined in such a manner that women are not provided with mainstream job roles. The man holds a higher-paid position while women are less open to such jobs are often appointed for less paid jobs. This even happens when the women and men both have equitable qualifications. (Cooray and Potrafke, 2011)

To suggest the ideas and remedies which could make the situation better
Herein gender equality assignment, the most important step that needs to be taken to remove the gender inequality is to provide women with senior job roles. The women should be provided with equal job roles as men. The women must be open to equal job roles as the men with the same qualification. The women should not be suppressed with the job opportunities just because of the gender. A proper review of the salary should be made and a standardized pattern for the payment of the salaries should be adopted. The pay should be made on the basis of the work done and the job role and not on the basis of the gender. Similarly, the job roles should be defined on the basis of the qualifications and not the basis of the gender. The women should be actively encouraged to work. They should be provided with the appraisals and promotions on the basis of the work, which will enhance their motivation for the work. A fair and equal work environment should be provided to the women where there is no inequality towards them on the basis of the gender. (Monroe and Chiu 2010)

Methodology
Research methods refer to the process and procedures of analyzing and collecting the data (Johnston, 2017). While planning a research method for gender equality assignment, there are two main areas that need to be taken into consideration while making a decision. This study is focusing on the gender inequality in public sectors in Australia.

Types of sources for data collection
The collection of data is the most important factor in any research work. The main concern in collecting the data is the selection of sources to be used. The sources for data collection are as follows:

  • Primary source:The primary source of data refers to a source from where the information collected in the first hand information for the research. The main area of the primary source of data collection is through the personal observation and personal opinions of the researcher. The personal interview is the type of primary source of data collection.
  • Secondary source: Secondary source of data collection is the other source of data collection (Cole, et. al., 2018, April). The secondary source of data collection provides with the information from the previous data or the previous researches. The data which is posted on the internet, or which is found in the libraries or the data collected from the articles and journals are the examples of the data collected from the secondary sources used within this gender equality assignment (Hagerstorm, et. at., 2010).

For this research perspectiveof gender equality assignment, secondary sources will be use. Literature reviews are going to use so that study remain effective and ethical. The use of secondary sources helps in assessing and collecting data about gender equality in public sector organization. For this, appropriate information and sources lead to interpret to make study justified. Hence, for this project secondary sources are best to opt.

Research design The research design followed in the gender equality assignment helps in the proper and logical analysis of the research. It helps in providing with a logical solution to every research problem. The research design can be mainly categorized into two main heads (Myers, et. al., 2010).

  1. Correlation:This type of research is a non- experimental type of research in which the research on gender equality assignment focuses on two variables and finds out the relation between the two variables. The correlation so found between the variables can be a positive correlation or negative correlation. There are even cases in which no correlation is found in between the variables.
  2. Descriptive: This type of research explains the attributes and the characteristics of the population on which the research is being conducted. The descriptive research is more of what oriented research rather than why oriented research. It focuses more on what aspect rather than the why aspect of the research on gender equality assignment.

What are the variables of the researchon gender equality assignment?
The variables refer to the any variation in the quality and the quantity. There are mainly two types of variables that arise in the research work of gender equality assignment. They are as follows:

  1. Dependent variables: dependent variables are the variables in which the measurement of variation is dependent on the other variables (Curtis, et.al.,2016). The effect so found in the variation of these variables is manipulative as they are affected by the other variables.
  2. Independent variables: the independent variables are the variables that are not dependent on the other variables (Mattingly, 2015). The result of the variances in the independent variables is not affected by any other variable. It shows the exact measurement. (Pickering and Byrne, 2014).

Research Approach
Research approaches are helpful to design the study in a corrective manner. The research approaches which can be applied on the concern study of gender equality in public sector of Australia focused in the gender equality assignment include:

  • Qualitative:This approach of the study includes quality aspects like secondary sources and resources from reliable sites only(Roller and Lavrakas, 2015). Quality of information is focused with consideration of this approach.
  • Quantitative: Quantitative study revolves around graphs, charts and numerical values. Quantitative approach is helpful in better understanding of the study.
  • Mixed: This approach includes both aspects and ingredients of qualitative and quantitative attribute (Creswell and Creswell, 2017). Quality sources with different charts and graphs are used to support the argument. This research on gender equality assignment typically includes the mixed approach so that studies remain effective.

Research project organization, budget and schedule
