Job Purpose:
In case of retailing, Sales and Distribution of home improvement products, Applicant must have self-supervisory and be able to handle the store and responsibilities alone during Night Shift Supervisor.
Timing: 10 PM -6 AM
Night Shift Supervisor Responsibilities:
• Retailing and sales:
• Hand overstocks and cash sales at start or end of shift
• Customer interactions
• Suppliers interactions and dealings
• In charge of monitoring CCTV surveillance camera footage
• Make delivering to localized customers during the hours
• Responsible for safely loading and making supplies
• Safely Lockdown while on delivery rounds
• Report on daily developments
Job Roles and description:
The position requires individuals who have an experience in retail and sales with adequate experience and is self-supervisory. Due to the odd hours, the job will require the individual to work alone at the store and will require handling all operations to the best of his ability. The job role would target clients placing orders during the late night for night or early morning home improvement products and will require the individuals to be well versed with retailing and sales and be able to supply the products when orders (Taylor, 2005).
A limited number of basic fast moving home improvement supply stocks shall be handed over to the individual on a daily basis at the start of the shift and these shall require being handed back to the next shift before shift change. This means both shifts both shift team members will need to come a few minutes early so as to take stock before handover so as to share the handover responsibility during office timings.
During the shift, the Status Night Shift Supervisor would be responsible for checking the daily records to determine customers who may have placed orders and perform a follow-up to confirm delivery and supply. The individuals will also need to follow up on their own leads and be responsible for answering the phone, checking the sales email and e-commerce portal for any orders which may have been placed and require delivery of preparation during his shift (Sower, 2010).
Organizing the products and supplies for delivery during the shift. The Status Night Shift Supervisor will require being prepared to handle organization, moving, loading and delivery of home improvement supplies which may have been ordered or require delivery during his shift. This will require physical efforts and heavy lifting so keep this point in mind before applying for the position.
In the event, the Status Night Shift Supervisor needs to make a late night delivery to a localized customer a Safe Lockup Procedures must be followed. This would require a specific security procedure to be followed before leaving the premises and while re-entering the premises. Security ALARMS, Movement detection sensors will need to be counter checked before departure. CCTV footage will also need to be reviewed once back from the delivery if there is adequate time.
