Answer
Introductions
The e-portfolio assignment focuses on exploring the concept of E-portfolio, which is one of the most popular professional resources generally used for keeping, and maintaining records of different academic as well as professional experiences. E-portfolios are consider as a repository of the individuals, which is required for getting chances in higher education or creating a pathway of being involved in the desired professional areas. An e-portfolio includes different evidential documents, based on which one can critically analyse their progress level for maintaining continuation of growth as well as development. This e-portfolio plan is created for completing the graduation diploma in Nursing Education.
Structure and organisation of e-portfolio
Proposed plan: An e-portfolio, which is a mandatory self-analytical document, is also applicable in demonstration of different knowledge as well as individual competency level associated with their real life events. The e-portfolio assignment examines the words of Carl & Strydom (2017) that vast ranges of purposes are fulfilled by the application e-portfolios. Individuals can use the e-portfolios for applying in different job positions, showing their academic as well as previous professional status, showing achievements and rewards, showing experiences, and so on. However, before making an e-portfolio, people need to use an electronic platform for making place of storing different evidence and data (Sercu, 2018). In this case, Weebly will be used as a preferable e-platform for making the e-portfolio.
Since this e-portfolio relates with nursing educational course, therefore, the following artefacts and materials will be useful, such as-
- Secondary, Higher secondary, and nursing diploma certificates
- Resume
- Evidence of different hobbies and interest areas, dancing, playing guitar, and reading story books
- Evidence of nursing philosophy
- Certificates of previous working experience , job or internship
- Certificates of different achievements and awards
- Certificates of Language study or course materials (Arabian and Chinese language)
- Certificates of special project (Project on Apoptosis and Mutations)
- Certificates of Nursing specialisation (Specialisation in mental health care)
- Certificates of Patient Centred Care and Evidence Based Practice (Assessment of Dementia patients)
- Australian Nursing standards, policies and codes of conduct
- Reflections on critical thinking, prioritising, and decision making process
- Goals for future professional practices in Nursing field
All the above-mentioned evidence or artefacts provided in the e-portfolio assignment will be used for analysing individual’s competency level in nursing profession, along with evaluating the strengths and weaknesses reflected from the past experiences and critical reflection. Apart from this, the e-portfolio can also be linked with the course module of nursing graduate diploma, through which goals can be set for career development in the mental health-nursing field (Beckers et al., 2019).

Selection of Theoretical/Conceptual material
E-portfolio is obviously one of valuable and potential tool of career development; however, the utilisation level would not be fulfilled without the presence of critical reflection in it. Evidence of critical reflection is essential for filling the characteristics gaps and achieving the target goals. Since this e-portfolio is associated with nursing practices, therefore, reflective evidence is required to be incorporated for understanding the NMBA codes of conducts more effectively and efficiently. Fook (2015) mentioned the alignment of personal characteristics and competency level with the codes will help in meeting the public health requirements.
Evidence suggests that using reflective tool, such as a framework or a model would be helpful for critically analysing the individual thinking process. For example, Gibbs reflective cycle can be used for developing a critical reflection on the events and feelings, through which one can properly understand the process of tackling certain situations (Sekarwinahyu et al., 2019). On the other hand, another effective reflective theory is Patricia Benner’s Theory, which can be utilised for taking effective decisions regarding the actions, needed for developing the competency level (Ozdemir, 2019). These two frameworks can help in making a complete action plan for accomplishing the desired career.
Conclusions
Based on the entire discussion provided in this e-portfolio assignment, it can be concluded that the e-portfolio will be created through applying Weekly platform, in which a range of artefacts and materials remain included. The timeframe mentioned above needs to be followed while creating and sharing the e-platform. The evidence and artefacts are supported using a critical reflective model and theory, Gibbs reflective cycle and Patricia Benner’s Theory.
