Answer
Title of the research project
In this business ethics assignment “Impact of business ethics on the stakeholder’s relationship” is selected as the proposed structure of this research.
1. Problem statement
1.1 Investigation area: Stakeholder’s trust is one of the prime factors that are essential for the proper functioning of any business. Pedersen, Gwozdz & Hvass (2018) commented that ethical behaviour of any company is a foundation behind trusting any stakeholders. Customers and suppliers are some of the potent stakeholders that influence business activities. Business ethics ensures that every business develops trust between the customers and market participants for better productivity of the company. Stakeholder’s relationship is essential for better profitability and henceforth, it is essential to undergo a detailed analysis of the impact of this ethics on stakeholder’s performance. As opined by Schnackenberg & Tomlinson (2016), unethical practices like fraud and embezzlement affect the stakeholder’s relationship and trust thereby impacting business performance.
Business ethics is essential in order to ensure high employee performance. A better engagement of the stakeholders like consumers and suppliers would favour better performance. Therefore, it is essential to understand the impact of business ethics on the performance and engagement of the potent stakeholders. It has been seen that unethical behaviour and practices negatively affect business performance and therefore, the researcher need to understand the interrelationship between business ethics and stakeholders trust.
1.2 Research aim: The research proposal of business ethics assignment is aimed at understanding the impact of business ethics on the stakeholder’s relationship within any business.
1.3 Research objectives: The objectives of this business ethics assignment are as follows-
- To understand the theoretical underpinning of business ethics
- To identify the necessity of stakeholders relationship on improving business growth
- To critically evaluate the impact of business ethics on business performance and stakeholders relationship
- To recommend various ways by which stakeholders trust could be enhanced to improve the profitability of any concerned organisation
2. Methodology
A quantitative methodology will be selected by the researcher in this business ethics assignment in order to carry out this proposed research. In this case, quantitative data will be analysed by the researcher in order to evaluate the effect of ethical principles on stakeholder’s trust (Influenced by Flick, 2015). The researcher will draw a conclusion based on quantitative data to understand the necessity of stakeholder's trust within an organisation.
2.1 Justification of the chosen methodology: In this proposed business ethics assignment, the researcher will select quantitative data in order to understand the concept of business ethics. Furthermore, secondary articles and journals would provide an in-depth analysis of the necessity of business ethics in case of any organisation (Influenced by Saunders, Lewis and Thornhill, 2010). Moreover, statistical data obtained from secondary journals would also help the researcher to analyse the impact of business ethics on business performance.
3. Data Collection methods:
Secondary quantitative data will be collected by the researcher to understand the impact of business ethics of the stakeholder's trust. Secondary journals and articles will be reviewed by the researcher as this would help him to analyse the research topic and carry out the study (Influenced by Yin, 2013). In order to ensure high profitability, the researchers need to recommend various ways by which stakeholder’s relationship with the company could be increased. Moreover, the researcher will follow the below-mentioned criteria while carrying out this research study-
Inclusion criteria-
- The researcher will select current journals in this research study
